Lachy Doley - Gimme Some Loving

Lachy Doley (born 21st April 1978) is an Australian musician, singer and songwriter best known for playing the Hammond organ and whammy clavinet. Doley has recorded and/or toured with Jimmy BarnesGlenn HughesBilly ThorpeJoe Bonamassa and Powderfinger. Doley has issued one album as a solo artist, Typically Individual Conforming Anti-Social (2011) and four albums fronting Lachy Doley Group. Lovelight peaked at number 40 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

Lachy Doley grew up in Adelaide, where he started a course at university. In the early 1990s his older brother, Clayton Doley, was a member of Sydney-based blues and roots group, Bondi Cigars, before turning to session work. During a break from his uni Doley joined Clayton in Sydney in the mid-1990s also as a session musician, "once I got here I thought, 'This is fantastic,' I dropped out of uni and stayed." In 1999 Clayton travelled to New York while Doley continued his local session work.

In 2002 the brothers reunited in Sydney and formed a classic rock and soul band, the Hands, with Doley on a Hohner clavinet and Clayton on a Hammond organ. They issued two albums, Live and Breathe (2004) and Everything Is Wonderful (2008). Brett Winterford of The Sydney Morning Herald observed the first album was "sung by guest soul vocalists Jade MacRae, Kara Grainger and Mahalia Barnes. The band struggled to afford to tour with guest vocalists and so narrowed their act to a four-piece (the brothers backed by drums and bass). By necessity, the brothers took to singing themselves."

Doley provided piano and Hammond organ for Powderfinger's fifth studio album, Vulture Street (July 2003), as a recording session musician. Subsequently, the group used him as their touring keyboardist from mid-2007 to 2010.

As a solo artist, Doley released his debut studio album Typically Individual Conforming Anti-Social in October 2011.

In 2012, Doley worked on a cover version of "Highway Star" for the Deep Purple tribute album, Re-Machined: A Tribute to Deep Purple's Machine Head (2012).

In 2013, Doley has fronted the eponymous Lachy Doley Group which has issued four albums, S.O.S (Singer Organ Soul) (September 2013), Conviction (May 2015), Lovelight (January 2017) and Make or Break (March 2019)Lovelight debuted at No. 40 on the ARIA Albums Chart

Doley is a regular member of Jimmy Barnes live shows including, Barnes' brief Australia Day set aboard a ship on Sydney Harbour in 2017.

In September 2021, Studios 301 Sessions debuted at number 13 on the ARIA Charts.

In 2012, Fool Moon composed their first original Hungarian pop a cappella hit, the first Hungarian a cappella pop song, titled “Kettesben jó”. The song was commissioned for a Hungarian youth film titled Sherlock Holmes nevében and was played during the film's end credits in cinemas in Hungary and abroad.

Lainey Wilson - What’s Up

Lainey Denay Wilson (born May 19, 1992) is an American country music singer–songwriter and actress. Wilson performed from an early age, before going to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue a career as a country performer. In 2014, she released her first album, followed by a second on the Lone Chief label in 2016. Wilson secured a publishing deal and later released an extended play (EP) in 2019, which included the song "Things a Man Oughta Know". In 2020, it was issued as a single through the BBR Music Group and eventually reached number one on the American country songs chart.

Wilson was raised in Baskin, Louisiana, a town of only 250 people. Her father Brian was a farmer while her mother Michelle was a schoolteacher. She became interested in music at a young age. Her family often listened to classic country music by Buck Owens and Glen Campbell. "Country music for me and my family, it was more than music. We lived the words to those songs," she told The Advocate. At age nine, she attended a performance of the Grand Ole Opry and was drawn to the music. "I just remember looking up there, being like, ‘Man, I wanna do that'," she recalled. Wilson's father taught her a couple of chords and she was soon writing songs by her preteen years. In 2006, she released an extended play (EP) on Myspace titled Country Girls Rule. In high school, Wilson took a job impersonating Hannah Montana. Often booking her own shows, she performed as Hannah Montana at birthday parties, fairs, and festivals across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas, even once performing for child cancer patients at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Wilson finished high school and moved to Nashville, Tennessee in August 2011. She first lived in a camper trailer outside of a recording studio in Nashville. The studio owner paid for Wilson's water and electricity to help make ends meet. In 2021, Wilson explained that her early years in Nashville were difficult: "It taught me that this thing was not going to be easy. It taught me perseverance." For several years, Wilson played a variety of small shows and worked on her songwriting. In 2014, Wilson released a self-titled album on the Cupit label. It was followed in 2016 by her second album Tougher. The disc was released on the Lone Chief label. The project garnered an audience and charted the Billboard Top Country Albums list in 2016. In 2018, she issued her second EP, a self-titled collection that was self-released. This led to Wilson signing a publishing deal with SONY/ATV in 2018. The same year, she also signed a management deal.

In 2018, Wilson signed a major-label recording contract with the BBR Music Group. Her first major-label release was her third EP Redneck Hollywood (2019). Her debut major label single was also released in 2019 called "Dirty Looks".Off the Record UK praised the EP, highlighting Wilson's songwriting and the production from producer Jay Joyce. The publication concluded by saying, "The EP is raw and real, pushing the country music genre wider than ever and bringing it back to the traditional while still reinventing it to its modern surroundings." Wilson then received attention from Country Music Television, who included her in their "Listen Up" Class of 2019[ and on their "2019 CMT Next Women of Country" tour.[ She also toured with Morgan Wallen in 2019. During this same period, several of her songs were featured in the Paramount Network show Yellowstone.

In August 2020, the BBR label issued Wilson's next single to radio titled "Things a Man Oughta Know". The track gained heavy media attention from sites like Apple MusiciHeart RadioSpotify and Pandora. By 2021, "Things a Man Oughta Know" became her breakout single, reaching number three on the Billboard Country Airplay chart and number one on the Country Songs chart. It was included on her third studio album Sayin' What I'm Thinkin' (2021). The disc was her first full-length album collection issued on the BBR label and contained 12 tracks. It was her second to reach the Billboard country albums list, peaking at number 40. The disc received positive reviews. "Beyond writing and recording songs that satisfy country music fans, she succeeds at introducing her whole self through the music," concluded Taste of Country's Billy Dukes. Entertainment Focus commented, "The rising star knocks it out of the park with her new album."

Wilson appeared as a supporting act on Jason Aldean's "Back in the Saddle Tour" in 2021. In 2021, Wilson collaborated with Cole Swindell on his single "Never Say Never".The duet was released as the second single from Swindell's fourth studio album Stereotype, and became Wilson's second single to top the Billboard country chart. It was followed by her 2022 solo single titled "Heart Like a Truck", then the album Bell Bottom Country. Wilson received a leading six nominations at the 56th Annual Country Music Association Awards, becoming the fourth artist to receive six or more nominations as a first-time nominee. Wilson also joined the cast of Yellowstone in 2022.

S.O.A.P. - Abracadabra

S.O.A.P. were a Danish pop music duo made up of the two sisters Heidi "Suriya" Sørensen (born 18 October 1979) and Saseline "Line" Sørensen (born 26 July 1982). Their music was primarily written by Remee and produced by Holger Lagerfeldt for Sony Music Entertainment Denmark. They released two albums before they disbanded in 2002. They are best known for their single "This Is How We Party", and sold almost 2 million albums worldwide.

Heidi and Saseline were born in the state of Perak in Malaysia though were raised in Næstved, along with their younger brother Daniel. Their father is Danish and their mother is Malaysian. Heidi met Remee when she interviewed him for the youth magazine she worked for. Her father, who had accompanied her to the interview, mentioned to Remee that Heidi was a singer. Remee asked Heidi to sing on a solo album with him, however, she stated that she would not do anything without her sister. Remee subsequently withdrew his offer, though approached the girls a year later stating he wanted to produce an album with both of them. The sisters chose the name S.O.A.P. because they thought it was fun, although it did not stand for anything. Heidi and Saseline once held a competition for their fans to come up with a backronym. "Sisters Organising A Party" was one of their favourite choices, though they were unimpressed by the "countless unsavoury submissions".

Their first album, Not Like Other Girls, was released on 18 March 1998 in Denmark for Sony Music Entertainment. It was released in the US on 5 May, as a self-titled album on Crave Records, with a European release under Sony held around the same time. Remee wrote the lyrics for the album, which was produced by Holger Lagerfeldt. The album was certified gold in Finland and Denmark, and had sold over 15,000 copies in the US by July 1998. By August 2000, it had sold 1.5 million copies worldwide. It featured the successful debut single, This Is How We Party, which spent ten weeks in the top five in Denmark, reached No.1 in Sweden where it achieved gold status, and was also certified platinum in Australia, where it reached No. 7. The song found significant radio coverage in the US, and S.O.A.P. were described in Billboard as "looking to be the biggest thing out of Denmark since Aqua." The second single from the album, Ladidi Ladida, was certified gold in Australia, where it reached No. 15. In the US, Stand By You was chosen as the second single from the album and was released in late June; the song was later recorded by S Club 7 on their album 7. S.O.A.P. won two of their four nominations at the 1999 Danish Music Awards: best new act and best pop album for Not Like Other Girls.

S.O.A.P. opened for the Backstreet Boys on their Backstreet's Back Tour in 1998 at 25 venues in the US between 8 July and 14 August. In 1999 they recorded the Christmas song Let Love Be Love alongside Juice and Christina featuring Remee. The song remains popular at Christmas time in Denmark, where it charted in 2007 and again in 2011 at No. 20 and No. 34 respectively. The song was certified gold by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry in December 2013. They were also selected by Australian duo Savage Garden to be the opening act on their 2000 European tour. In 2000 they released their second and final album, Miracle. The album was less successful than their debut, with its lead single, S.O.A.P. Is In The Air, only charting in Denmark and Sweden, where it reached No. 3 and No. 25 respectively. S.O.A.P. sold nearly two million albums worldwide. In 2012 they were described by Eurovision as one of Denmark's most successful musical exports.

In 2002, S.O.A.P. disbanded. From 2002 till 2003, Saseline was a TV presenter, hosting the Danish music program Boogie. In 2005, she featured on the charity single "Hvor små vi er" and was also a contestant on the show Expedition Robinson 2005 (VIP), the Danish version of Survivor. She had a son with tennis player Frederik Fetterlein in 2008, though the couple separated during her pregnancy. In 2010, she released a solo album, Restart. In 2012, she was a contestant on Vild med dans, the Danish version of Dancing with the Stars. In 2014, she had another son with her boyfriend Michael Dreyer. In 2016, Saseline Sørensen changed her name to Saszeline Emanuelle Dreyer after visiting a numerologist. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Saszeline drew controversy for spreading misinformation regarding COVID-19 and its vaccines, leading to her being banned from Instagram.

Heidi took a break from the music industry after S.O.A.P. disbanded, and trained to become a tattoo artist while learning to write her own music. She later recorded as a solo artist under the name Suriya, releasing her first single "My Desire" in 2008 and second single "Louis Bag" in 2011. Her song "Forever I B Young" was chosen as a wildcard entry for the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2012, the danish national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.
