REO Speedwagon - Rock and Roll Music

REO Speedwagon es una banda estadounidense de hard rock formada en Illinois en 1967. Su nombre proviene del camión REO Speed-wagon, fabricado por la compañía estadounidense REO Motor Car Company. Alcanzaron su mayor popularidad durante los años 1980, principalmente en Estados Unidos, con sus power ballads «Keep on loving you» y «Can't fight this feeling», las que alcanzaron el primer lugar en la lista Billboard Hot 100. Su único álbum en alcanzar esa posición en la lista Billboard 200 fue Hi infidelity, en 1980. También en esa década tuvieron mucho éxito en América Latina gracias a la realización de varias giras de conciertos.

Siguen teniendo cierta vigencia, haciendo conciertos y giras; sin embargo, luego de 11 años de no publicar un álbum, en junio de 2007 salió a la venta la nueva producción discográfica de la banda, Find your own way home. Es una de las cinco bandas de rock en actividad más longevas de todos los tiempos. En más de medio siglo de existencia desde su fundación han tocado ininterrumpidamente y sin disoluciones. Neil Doughty, su tecladista está desde la formación inicial, Cronin y Hall (vocalista y bajista) desde po después.

  

 

Christine Anu & Deni Hines Takin It to the Streets

 Christine Anu (born 15 March 1970) is an Australian singer, songwriter and actress. She gained popularity with the cover song release of the Warumpi Band's song "My Island Home". Anu has been nominated for 17 ARIA Awards.

Anu began performing as a dancer and later went on to sing back-up vocals for the Rainmakers, which included Neil Murray of the Warumpi Band. Her first recording was in 1993 with "Last Train", a dance remake of a Paul Kelly song. The follow-up, "Monkey and the Turtle", was based on a traditional story. After "My Island Home", she released her first album, Stylin' Up, which went platinum.

In 1995, Neil Murray won an Australasian Performing Right Association songwriting award for writing "My Island Home". Anu won an ARIA Award for best female recording artist as well as a Deadly Sounds National Aboriginal & Islander Music Awards award in 1996 for best female artist.

Baz Luhrmann asked her to sing on the song "Now Until the Break of Day" on his Something for Everybody album. It was released as a single and the video then won another ARIA award and led to her being cast in Moulin Rouge!.

In January 1998, Anu teamed up with Archie Roach, Paul Kelly, Judith Durham, Renee Geyer, Kutcha Edwards and Tiddas and formed Singers for the Red Black and Gold. Together they released a cover of "Yil Lull".

In 2000, Anu released Come My Way which peaked at number 18 on the ARIA albums chart and went gold. In 2000 she sang the song "My Island Home" at the Sydney 2000 Olympics Closing Ceremony.^[7]

In November 2003, Anu released her third studio album, 45 Degrees.

In 2007, Anu toured a children's show and released an associate album titled Chrissy's Island Family. The album gained an ARIA Award nomination.

On 26 September 2010, she released a new digital only single, "Come Home".

On 7 November 2014, Anu released a Christmas album, titled Island Christmas.

In March 2018, Anu released a duet version of "Without You" from the musical Rent with Greg Gould. The lyric video featured photography from around the world, each photo with a splash of red for HIV/AIDS support and awareness.

Dohnyale "Deni" Sharon Hines (born 4 September 1970) is an Australian singer who has been releasing music since the early 1990s, with chart success in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Europe. She is the daughter of American-Australian singer Marcia Hines.

Hines released her first single with the Australian band Rockmelons with a cover version of the Bill Withers 1971 hit "Ain't No Sunshine". She then went on to release solo material, including the top-five single "It's Alright" and the top-20 album Imagination (1996), which sold more than 55,000 copies worldwide. A remix album, which included brand-new tracks, became Remix Your Imagination". Her third studio album was titled Water for Chocolate, which was released on 19 August 2006 and features the singles "Water for Chocolate", "Son of a Preacher Man" and "5 Days of Rain".^[1]

In 2007, Hines recorded a successful jazz album with Australian jazz artist James Morrison. The pair toured Australia to sold-out shows. In 2012, she played singer Neri Rogers in "The Green Mill Murder", S1:E3 of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. On 18 November 2016, her fourth studio album, The Soul Sessions, was released, with the lead single "What About Love" co-written by Hines and Edward Said. In 2019, Hines competed on The Masked Singer under the alias of Unicorn. She was knocked out in finals week and ended up placing fourth.

Janus - Drive

 Janus was an American alternative metal band based in Chicago. They formed in 1992 in North East, Maryland and have released five studio albums, “Orifice” (1994),Influx (1998), Armor (2004), Red Right Return (2008), and Nox Aeris (2012). They mix alternative metal with non-traditional rock instruments, such as auxiliary percussion, and electronic sounds. The band gained popularity on rock radio stations across the US due to their single "Eyesore," and has toured with bands such as All That Remains, Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Sevendust, and Sick Puppies. The band is known for wearing custom made red and black 1920s Russian-inspired militaristic uniforms both on stage, and in their music video for "Eyesore."

Janus formed in 1998 and that same year released Influx, a 12 track CD issued through Mirror Records with a sound similar to The Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, and Soundgarden.^{[citation needed]} In 2004 Janus released their second album, titled Armor containing 9 tracks of a more modern alternative metal sound. In 2006 Janus released a 5 track demo that contained songs they would later re-record and feature on their 2008 release Red Right Return. 5 songs were recorded for this demo: "If I Were You", "Your Arms", "The Nerve", "Skin Deep", and "100 Years". In 2007, director Noah Shulman shot a music video for their demo version of "If I Were You" in an ink factory in Chicago, Illinois in support of their third upcoming album, Red Right Return, which was released in 2008 through Level It Records/Glass Bottom Boat Music.

Johnny Salazar, previously of the bands "Shades of Fiction" and "Relative Ash", joined as the new drummer in 2007. Replacing long time original drummer Richie Betts (Influx/Armor/Red Right Return). Signed to a new label (REALID/ILG Records), Janus re-released Red Right Return in 2009, and shot another music video with Noah Shulman for their single "Eyesore."

The band's fourth album, Nox Aeris, was released on March 27, 2012. The first single is "Stains."

According to a Tweet by band member Mike Tyranski in October 2016, the band is no longer together. Frontman David Scotney has since moved out of the Chicago area to start a new pizza restaurant called Oakfire in Lake Geneva, WI David Scotney, re-launched the band and announced via a youtube video on April 22, 2019.

On May 3, 2019, the band released their first single since 2012, a cover of the song Drive, by The Cars, and all of the proceeds go to charity for bipolar disorder research.

Steve Lukather - Hey Jude

 Steven Lee Lukather (Valle de San Fernando, Los Ángeles, California, 21 de octubre de 1957), conocido por su nombre artístico Steve Lukather, es un guitarrista, bajista, cantante, compositor, arreglista y productor estadounidense miembro de la banda Toto. Además es un prolífico músico de sesión que ha participado en la grabación de más de 1500 discos representando a una amplia variedad de artistas y géneros. También ha contribuido en álbumes y sencillos como arreglista, compositor y productor y ha publicado ocho álbumes de estudio en solitario.

En 1976, a los diecinueve años de edad, sus amigos de la escuela David Paich y los hermanos Porcaro, Steve y Jeff, le invitaron a formar una banda que pasaría a llamarse Toto. Actualmente es el líder de la agrupación y el único integrante del grupo que nunca ha faltado a una presentación en vivo. La reputación de Lukather como guitarrista y su asociación con Paich y Jeff Porcaro, quienes también eran artistas consagrados, le permitieron una sólida carrera como músico de sesión en las décadas de 1970 y 1980. Jessica Andrews - Show Me Heaven

 Jessica Danielle Andrews (born December 29, 1983) is an American country music singer. At age 15 in mid-1999, she made her debut on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts with the single "I Will Be There for You", from her debut album Heart Shaped World, released in 1999 on DreamWorks Records Nashville. Andrews had her biggest chart success in 2001 with the song "Who I Am", a No. 1 country hit and the title track of her second studio album, which was certified gold in the United States. A third album, Now was released in 2003 to lower sales, while a fourth album (tentatively titled Ain't That Life) was never released due to DreamWorks' closure.
